Naoero Soccer Federation x Tower 28 improves access to equity in sport.

Tower 28, leaders in cultural intelligence, is the inaugural sponsor of the Naoero Soccer Federation, proving the company is embedded in remote regions.

This is the power of cultural intelligence in creating positive impact. In a game that feels increasingly commercialized, this does opposite by improving children's access to teamwork and community.”

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Global Cultural Intelligence Company Tower 28 Announces Partnership with Naoero Soccer Federation
The company is the inaugural commercial partner to Naoero’s national team and to the NSF’s “One Child, One Ball” initiative

Tower 28, the global cultural intelligence company driving business impact in more than 90 markets, today announced that it has become the inaugural commercial partner for the Naoero Soccer Federation, proving the company is embedded and impactful in even the most remote of regions.

Tower 28 advises companies like Google, Open AI, Just Eat Takeaway and Expedia on how to resonate in 90 of the best established and emerging markets. The company is immersed in culture in a unique way through their network of more than 1,500 embedded creative and strategy professionals who consult on a wide range of outcomes from the best marketing ideas to guardrails that ensure brands feel familiar and favorable to locals, which results in optimal commercial outcomes. Tower 28’s approach to business is as innovative as its mission of expanding understanding, making today’s announcement especially relevant.

The partnership with Naoero Soccer Federation comes at a symbolic moment for soccer. On October 26, the sport celebrates its biggest stars at the Ballon d’Or while the island nation of Naoero marks Angam Day, commemorating the moment the island’s population recovered to 1,500 people. For Naoero Soccer Federation, the ambition begins at the opposite end of the sport through the equitable approach of getting a ball to every child regardless of gender and building a football culture from the ground up. Their mission is to use soccer for resilience and healthy outcomes in Naoero, a country struggling with obesity, and NSF plans to support that mission through grassroots and national team development and its One Child, One Ball initiative.

Naoero, the world’s third-smallest country and smallest island nation, is also one of very few UN member states outside FIFA and has never played a representative international football match. The Federation is working with schools, government and local partners to introduce the sport to children ages 8–14, with the goal of developing the country’s first national team and competitive league.

“The relationship with NSF fits perfectly with our belief in the power of cultural intelligence,” said David Young, Executive Creative Director at Tower 28. "It’s a chance to listen and learn from a culture on the other side of the world. Some parts of football feel increasingly commercialized and corrupted, this is about as far from that as you can get in every sense. It’s about giving children more access to sport, teamwork, community, national pride, and the pure enjoyment of the game.”

Tower 28 is providing financial support to the Federation and will also serve as a creative partner as the organization builds visibility around its programs and future national team.

“Our goal has never been to manufacture a football team for a single moment,” said Charlie Pomroy, Naoero Soccer Federation. “We want football to become part of life in Naoero, beginning with children, schools and communities and growing organically over time. As such, we have the first and last opportunity to give girls and boys a true equal start at football which has never happened before in any other nation. Having Tower 28 believe in that vision as our first corporate partner gives us meaningful support at the very beginning of the journey.”

The Federation’s One Child, One Ball initiative provides footballs to children on Naoero for about $25 USD per ball.
